Our company is young but mighty. Every morning, fueled by coffee (we are in the birthplace of Starbucks, after all), we plan our day with a singular focus: What can we do to make it easier for people to do what they love to do? We revel in the positive feedback customers send us, marvel at user-submitted images of Heroclips in the wild, and generate action plans for doing even better. We work in a live/work loft in a growing neighborhood of Seattle, and every Friday, one of us cooks everyone lunch (ranging from IKEA meatballs to an elaborate family recipe), and we talk about the adventures we have planned for the weekend. We have been known to experiment with things like walking meetings and paddleboarding brainstorm sessions (surprisingly successful with only one falling casualty). We keep a bell in our kitchen so that anyone with exciting news can ring it and we can bask in the victory. Our days go by at full speed, and it’s not uncommon for us to have a cider, a beer or a glass of wine together at the end of the day to relax and unwind. We love what we do and what we make, the causes we support, and we think it shows.
Heroclip began its journey in 2015. CEO and Founder Mina Yoo came up with the idea for our flagship product line shortly after she had her first baby and while training to summit Mt. Rainier. Mina realized that two hands were simply not enough for all the gear that comes with living a full, adventurous life. So she set us to create a tool that could easily cross over from one activity to the next. As a professor of entrepreneurship, Mina had no background in design and manufacturing, but she was fortunate enough to find talented individuals to help bring her idea to fruition. Launched with overwhelming support from Kickstarter and Indiegogo backers, Heroclip is now at retailers like Brookstone and Ace Hardware Stores and has been touted by numerous media outlets. But we’re just getting started. We run, camp, hike, play, work, dine, stroll, shop, nest, and roam the world. Starting with Heroclip, our versatile tools are catching up to the way we live. We are in the business of innovating to make it easier for you to get the most out of your day, and we can’t wait to share what we come up with.
